Two rabbis offered the use of their temples by the parish of St. Michael’s Catholic Church here, which was destroyed by fire, it was reported today by the Very Rev. James J. Redmond, pastor of the church. In addition, he announced, a group of Jewish women notified him they would be willing to help his parish in any way they could, including “cleaning up the debris.”

According to the priest, the offers to permit the use of the temples “in any way in which St. Michael’s wishes” were made by Dr. Isaac Klein and Herman Rekoon, rabbi and president of Temple Emanu-El, and by Rabbi Martin L. Goldberg, spiritual leader of Temple Beth Zion.
