The 1962 United Jewish Campaign opened here last night with Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Keren Kayesod in Israel, as principal speaker. The several hundred delegates, representing all Jewish groups in the country, adopted a resolution pledging Argentine Jewry to raise funds this year for the settling of at least 500 refugee families in Israel.

Other speakers at the conference included Mark Turkov, World Jewish Congress director in Latin America; Chief Rabbi Jacob Fink; Leon Lapaco, general secretary of the United Jewish Campaign; Dr. Hardy Swarsensky, president of the United Jewish Campaign; and Joseph Tchornicki, Latin American director of the Keren Hayesod.
