The Ford Motor Company Fund has given Brandeis University a special, unrestricted grant of $25,000 for beyond-the-budget purposes. The grant is one of several designed to “give college and university presidents a source of funds for any special project or other activity for which no provision is made in the regular school budget,” Benson Ford Fund president, said.

Brandeis President Abram L. Sachar, in accepting the gift, noted that “the Ford Motor Company’s grant comes to the University at the beginning of a $65.1 million development campaign which is concerned chiefly with securing endowment. It is especially meaningful because, being unrestricted, we can draw upon it for our day-to-day needs.”
