resolution lauding the English-language Jewish press in the United States and Canada as a “major educational force in the Jewish community” was adopted here today at the 17th annual convention of the B’nai B’rith Young Adults. The resolution urged the organization’s membership to subscribe to the English-Jewish publications serving their areas.
“Through this vital medium of communication, events of Jewish interest, ordinarily not available in the general press, are chronicled and recorded for posterity. Crucial issues of Jewish concern are debated, discussed and clarified,” the resolution emphasizes. The delegates elected Charles Levy, 23, a law student of Chicago, as president.
