King Hassan II of Morocco today received Dr. Leon Benzaquen, honorary president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Morocco. The Jewish leader, who at one time was a member of the Moroccan Cabinet, brought greeting to the King on behalf of Moroccan Jewry in connection with the Moslem feast of Mouloud.
A Jewish lawyer M. Botbol, was elected today chairman of the Bar Association in the city of Meknes. This is the first time that a Jew has been elected to this position since Morocco became an independent country.
