Twenty Israeli factory workers came here today for an official visit, during which they will meet with Cypriote trade union leaders as well as with Minister of Labor Tassos Papadopoulos.
The Israelis are workers in Israeli asbestos factories, and members of Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor. They will spend a week here visiting asbestos mines.
At just about the time the Israelis arrived, the leading Cypriote football team, Anorthosis, led by the team’s popular coach, left for Haifa on the invitation of Israel’s Maccabi football aggregation. Anorthosis will play three matches in Israel against the Maccabi and Hapoel.
