Chicago Girl Wins First Prize in Israel’s International Harp Contest

A 21-year-old Chicago girl, Lynne Alison Turner, today won first prize in Israel’s second International Harp Contest. At the first international event for harpists here, three years ago, Miss Turner was the seventh runner-up. As her prize this time, she received a $4,000 grand concert harp.

Second and third prizes were also taken by women-Guiliana Albisetti, of Italy, and Brigitte Duportail, of France. All three of the winners will give performances with the Kol Israel Symphony Orchestra here.
