Jewish Theatre for Children Announces Prize for Full-length Play

The Jewish Theater for Children announced today a prize of $1, 000 for the best full-length play for children in English on a Jewish theme in the seventh annual competition for such plays. Philip Kasakove, theater chairman, said manuscripts must be submitted by a deadline of April 15, 1963.

Judges include Dr. Azriel Eisenberg, executive vice-president of the Jewish Education Committee of New York; Lewis Funke, New York Times Drama editor; N. U. Levitt, chairman of the School of Adult Jewish Studies of Temple Beth El of Great Neck; Norman Nadel, World Telegram and Sun drama critic; and Grace M. Stanistreet, director of the Adelphi College Children’s Theater Arts Center.
