Visitors to the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair will be able to view various Dead Sea Scrolls in two different pavilions–those of Israel and Jordan–according to an announcement here by Robert Moses, president of the fair.
The announcement followed the signing of an agreement by the Jordanian Ambassador to the United Nations, Abdul Monen Rifai, providing for the construction by his government of a 6, 500-square foot pavilion. Ambassador Rifai disclosed that the Jordanian Scrolls would be exhibited in his country’s pavilion. Israel had already announced plans to display various Dead Sea Scrolls in its pavilion at the fair.
