Sir Leslie Plummer, Laborite MP, told the High Court today that his life had been threatened after he introduced a bill in Parliament to make it a criminal offense to insult a person because of his color or religion.

Sir Leslie appeared in connection with his suit for damages for libel against three members and one former member of the British right-wing National party who, in a Council election address, called Sir Leslie the “pro-black MP.” The former member is John Tyndal, who was expelled from the party and who is now in jail serving a sentence for violation of the British Public Order Act, along with British National Socialist leader Colin Jordan and two other neo-Nazi leaders.
