A petition to Queen Elizabeth II to intervene with the Government of Morocco on behalf of three members of the Bahai faith sentenced to death in Morocco was addressed today by the National Assembly of the Bahai movement in the British Isles. Telegrams were also sent to 50 members of Parliament, representing constituencies where members of the Bahai live in this country, requesting the representatives in Commons to use their influence in an effort to save the lives of the three condemned men in Morocco. In addition, members of Amnesty, an organization of British attorneys, have taken up the case in the hope of being able to save the men’s lives.
