B. Sumner Gruzen, well-known architect and designer, has been elected national president of the American Technion Society, it was announced today. He succeeds Jacob R. Sensibar.
A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, Mr. Gruzen has been active in the development of large scale housing projects, universities, military institutions, industrial plants, religious structures and community planning. He has been a member of the American Technion Society for more than 20 years, and in recent years has served as a member of the board of directors. He has also been an active leader of the Essex County United Jewish Appeal and the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies in New York.
Others elected by the American Technion Society include David Rose, chairman of the board; Senator Jacob K. Javits and Dr. Abraham Tulin, honorary chairmen of the board; Harold E. Beckman and Stephen Wise Tulin, treasurer and secretary, respectively.
