Three former Nazi officers will go on trial here to morrow charged with complicity in the murder of at least 1,700 Jews in the Ukrainian ghettoes of Sdolbunow, Misotch and Ostrog during 1942. Two of the oanen are accused of the murders, the third of sealing off the ghettoes to prevent the doomed Jews from escaping. The names of the three accused are given as Koehler, Paur and Wacker.
The public prosecutor in Flensburg is expected to file tomorrow a protest against the third release this year from detention of Martin Fellenz, former SS major, who was con-victed of complicity in the wartime mass murders of Jews in Nazi-occupied Krakow.
Fellenz was sentenced to four years at hard labor but did not serve any part of the sentence. The Flensburg jury court held that since he had been under pre-trial detention for 30 months, he could serve the balance of the four year term on probation, When new reports on his wartime activities were received by the prosecutor, a warrant was issued and he was re-arrested and released. At the request of the chief public prosecutor, he was detained a third time but again freed.
