More than 100 delegates convened here today for the first Zionist and Jewish communal conference embracing all Jewish communities of Central America. Guest of honor at the conclave was Moshe Sharett, chairman of the Jewish Agency executive, who arrived here today at the end of an extensive tour of Latin American countries.

Joshua Shai, Israel’s Ambassador to the Central American countries, called on the delegates to integrate the Jewish communities of the region into a single well-organized community. Moises Mizrahi, a prominent member of the Panama Jewish community, is presiding over the conference, which includes delegations from Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama.
