Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein was re-elected today as acting president of Bar-Ilan University. At the same time, Dr. Tuvia Bar-Ilan resigned his post as the university director, but joined the institution’s managing committee.

At a press conference here today, following his re-election. Rabbi Lookstein said that a three-man committee will decide about the university’s permanent presidency. He will be on the committee, he said, along with Minister of the Interior Moshe Shapiro and Prof. Sol Lieberman. Plans for the expansion of the university, he said, are progressing.
