State Department Pleased with Israel’s, Jordan’s Calm Reactions

State Department sources said today that the Department was pleased that neither Jordan nor Israel had displayed a desire to build up or aggravate yesterday’s “purely local” shooting situation at Jerusalem. The Department’s interpretation is that the incident was not serious, and that the response from both governments involved was reassuring.
