The Bat Yam municipality today opened a new art museum named for the famous Russian-born Jewish artist, Y.B. Ryback, whose works will be permanently exhibited there. A pioneer of modern Jewish art, Ryback, who died before the Second World War, cultivated a characteristic form of Jewish traditional art. His works were exhibited in the leading galleries in Russia, France, Germany and the United States.
