The DAIA, the central body of Argentine Jewry, sent a message today to Argentina’s new President, Dr. Arturo Illia, expressing the hope that under his government, “no form of discrimination that might modify the equality of all human beings in their condition as citizens will prosper.”

The DAIA, referring to Argentine Jewry as “an inseparable part of the country,” also sent a message to the new Vice-President, Carlos Perette, congratulating him and reminding him of his “historic speech” at the 50th Interparliamentary Conference in Brussels in 1951 “which in itself constitutes a program of action for all free men.”
