Four Jewish candidates were elected last Sunday to the Sao Paulo Municipal Chamber, it was announced today. The total number of votes for Helio Dejtiar and Marcos Kertzmann reflected steady support from non-Jewish voters.
Sender Fichman was elected largely by votes from the Jewish quarter of the city. David Lerer, the Socialist candidate, was the favorite of the Metallurgical Workers Union.
