The Rabbinical Council of America today issued a statement disassociating itself from the demonstrations which took place earlier this week at the Israel Consulate here, when Hassidim protested against recent Sabbath incidents in Israel.
In the statement, Rabbi Abraham N. AvRutick, Council president, said that the organization regretted “that the demonstrators paraded under the Orthodox banner. As Orthodox leaders, we must state that the demonstrators are net representatives of American Orthodoxy.”
