Ireland Grants Full Recognition to Israel; May Exchange Diplomats

Ireland has granted full recognition to Israel, a Government spokesman here announced yesterday. The de jure recognition of Israel, it was pointed out, opens the way for an exchange of diplomatic missions between Dublin and Jerusalem. Until now, Ireland has recognized Israel only “de facto.” meaning it had merely recognized the existence of Israel.
