Dr. Josef Freudenthal, a composer of choral music and a leading publisher of Jewish music, died here yesterday at the age of 61. Born in Germany, Dr. Freudenthal came to the United States in the early 1930’s and founded Transcontinental Music Publications which became one of the leading publishers of Jewish liturgical, music in the world.
