Aaron Kurtz, a prominent Yiddish poet, lecturer and editor, died in his home here yesterday after a long illness at the age of 72.

Born in Russia, Mr. Kurtz came to the United States in 1911. He wrote articles on Yiddish literature and was editor and publisher of “Heintike Lieder,” a magazine of contemporary Yiddish poetry. Among his books of poetry were “Chaos,” “Figaro,” and “Plakaten.”
