American Foundation Gives $500,000 for Tel Aviv University

A contribution of $500,000 from the Gilman Foundation for the construction of buildings to house the Faculty of Humanities of Tel Aviv University was announced last night at a meeting here of the board of the American Friends of the Tel Aviv University.

Mrs. Louis S. Gimbel, Jr. nationally known cultural and social leader, was elected chairman of the board. Dr. Dewey Stone, Philip Lown, Fred Monosson and Sanford Gorelick were elected new board members. Dr. Patai continues as president of the organization.
