Degrees and diplomas were conferred on 30 undergraduates and three graduate students by Dean Eisig Silberschlag at the 35th annual commencement exercises of the Hebrew Teachers College here this week. Philip W. Lown, newly elected president of HTC and immediate past president of the American Association for Jewish Education, presided over the graduation ceremonies of the college, New England’s only non-theological institution of higher Hebrew studies.

Dr. Alexander M. Dushkin, professor emeritus of education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, delivered the commencement address. On Sunday, June 21, the Hebrew High School, an affiliate of the college, will award diplomas to 79 young men and women, the largest graduating class in its history, at its 34th graduation.
