William Auerbach-Levy, noted American-Jewish caricaturist and artist, died here yesterday at the age of 75. For four decades, from 1910, he was one of the most popular caricaturists in the United States.
Born in Brest-Litovsk, Russia, he was brought to this country at the age of five, and grew up on New York’s lower East Side, Mr. Auerbach-Levy was considered responsible for making caricature an integral part of the daily press in this country.
