Senator Kenneth Keating has urged the United States Government to “take every possible step” to prevent the using of the Arab refugees “to foment Nasser’s plans of aggression.”

In a telegram to Mr.Rusk, the New York Senator called the formation of an army from among Arab refugees “a most ominous threat to peace in the Near East.” Asserting in the telegram that “this sign of new aggression against Israel has perilous implications,” the Senator said that “if unchecked, it could develop into a world conflagration.”
