Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer today received Israel Deputy Defense Minister Shimon Peres for a discussion of questions “of mutual interest.” Mr. Peres was accompanied by Israel Ambassador Gershon Avner and Colonel Ram Ron, Israel military attache to the United States and Canada.
Mr. Peres was previously guest of Jewish leaders in Montreal for a luncheon. The Israel-Canadian defense talk was described as basically a “courtesy visit.”
