Mahmoud Riad, Foreign Minister of Egypt, told the General Assembly here today that the “Organization for the Liberation of Palestine,” formed last May in Jordanian Jerusalem, plans to pursue a pledge “to restore to the Arab people of Palestine their rights which so far have been denied to them by force.”

He made this statement while delivering a general foreign affairs policy address before a plenary session of the Assembly. He said that, in that “just struggle,” the group will have the support of Egypt.

Mr. Riad’s reference to “the Palestine problem” reiterated all of the customary Arab charges against Israel, picturing Israel’s presence in “Palestine” as motivated by “foreign domination, exploitation and racialism as inflicted upon the people of South Africa, Southwest Africa and Southern Rhodesia.” Sudan also participated in today’s Assembly session, delivering a similar diatribe against Israel.
