The work of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in serving as a link between Israel and the Jews throughout the world was lauded here today at a dinner tendered to JTA president Eleazar Lipsky by Ahron Becker, general secretary of the Histadrut, Israel’s Federation of Labor. Histadrut leaders emphasized the importance of the JTA in keeping Jewish communities in various countries informed about developments affecting Jewish life in all parts of the globe.
