A new way to desalt sea water more cheaply than with present methods will be tested here soon by the Negev Research Institute. After conducting research, the Institute built a plant for desalting saline underground water.
The new method has the support of the Premier’s National Council for Research and of the United States Office of Saline Water. Details of the new method were not disclosed.
