Immediate enactment of anti-discrimination laws in Alberta was urged today by the provincial Liberal party. This is an opposition party in a province which has been ruled by Social Credit for almost 30 years.
The resolution, approved at the party’s annual convention, calls for legislation prohibiting discrimination in public accommodation, employment, housing and public services on the basis of race, color and creed.
