Gen. Yitzhak Rabin, chief of staff of Israel’s defense forces, reported to the entire Cabinet here today on the latest series of Syrian attacks on the northern frontier, where another exchange of fire took place last night between Syrian gun posts and Israeli units on the northern frontier.
The latest clash developed last night after two Syrian gun positions opened fire from the heights on their side of the border against the Israeli village of Ashmoura. Israelis returned the fire. No casualties were reported on the Israeli side.
