$4,000 Prize to Be Given for Non-fiction Book on Jewish Life

An annual $4,000 award for a non-fictional, book-length manuscript on any subject of Jewish life, past or present, has been established by the Jewish Publication Society of America and the Columbia University Press, it was announced here today.

The award will be named for the late Adolf Amram of New York, whose estate is providing the funds. The first award will be made by December 31, 1966.
