St. Edwards University of Austin, Texas, presented its Coronat Award last night to Rabbi Marc H. Tanenbaum, director of the Department of Antireligious Affairs of the American Jewish Committee. The presentation was the first made by the Catholic University to a rabbi.

The award–a medal–was presented also to David Rockefeller, chairman of the Chase Manhattan Bank; Gov. Richard J. Hughes of New Jersey, and New York City Deputy Mayor John B. Connerton. The award is given to persons who exemplify the “high ethical standards” which the university seeks to inculcate in its students, according to Dr. Raymond Fleck, president.
