A demand that the Catholic Church restore the Inquisition to suppress “progressives” in the Church who would have the Ecumenical Council repudiate the deicide charge concerning Jews, and who advocate a schema endorsing the principle of freedom of religion for all peoples, was made here today by a priest, the Rev. Dr. Joaquin Saenzy Arriaga.

Issuing a brochure interpreting his version of the moves taken at the last session of the Ecumenical Council regarding Jews and religious freedom in general, Dr. Saenzy Arriaga attacked Jews and Catholic liberals. He insisted that the Catholic Church will never lift the deicide charge against Jews and stated openly that Catholics will continue “hating Jews until they accept Christ as the true Messiah.”
