Jews in Tashkent in the Soviet Union under the age of 30 have been banned from frequenting the local synagogue on an order from the Tashkent Department of Religions, reliable tourists who recently visited the Soviet capital of Central Asia reported here today.
The tourists said that the report of such a ban was confirmed to them by several young Tashkent Jews who said they had personally experienced the ban order.
