Twelve youths accused of attacking a group of Yeshiva students in North London recently were held today for trials in Old Bailey, the city’s Central Criminal Court. Police had arrested 14 youths, but two were acquitted after today’s hearing for lack of evidence linking them directly with the occurrence.

All 12 were charged with malicious mischief and attempt to murder. The murder attempt was directed, according to police testimony, against one of the Yeshiva students, Joseph Springer. He is a son of one of the leading British officials of Agudath Israel.
