PHILADELPHIA (Feb. 3)
Fellowships ranging to $1,000 each were offered here today by the Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning, which noted that applications for these grants must be submitted before March 1.
One group of fellowships is for Middle East studies by qualified students who are candidates for the master’s or doctoral degrees in the area studies of the modern and contemporary Middle East. In this area, fellowships in modern Arabic and Hebrew are also available under Title VI of the National Defense Education Act.
Another group of fellowships covers graduate study in education. These programs, offered through the college’s department of education, are for graduate students seeking the degrees of master of arts, doctor of education or doctor of philosophy.
