The Newspaper Guild of New York, which is on strike against the new World Journal Tribune, announced today that the Hebrew Free Loan Society had offered interest-free loans to striking members.
The Guild said that Abe Gribetz, executive director of the Society, had invited applications from Guild members on strike if they can meet minimal credit requirements. The Guild noted that the loan society had no service charges of any kind and that it was non-sectarian.
