New Jersey State Law Protecting Kashruth Signed by Governor

Misrepresenting certain foods as being kosher will now be a violation of New Jersey State law in accordance with a new bill signed by Governor Richard J. Hughes. The legislation is aimed at deceptive or misleading statements and provides for stiff fines. The law was introduced by State Senator Maclyn S. Goldman, of Essex County.
