The first exploratory talk on implementation of a joint American-Israeli nuclear desalination project will take place here Wednesday when Ephraim Ben Arzi, newly appointed Israeli desalination coordinator, meets here with U.S. ambassador-at-large Ellsworth Bunker.

Mr. Bunker was personally designated by President Lyndon B. Johnson to evaluate the long-delayed undertaking and make recommendations. The plan was declared feasible by a joint study group but a question of financing remained along with other economic issues.
