Rep. Leonard Farbstein, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, stated in Congress today that “Israel has a basic sovereign right to defend herself against Syrian terrorism and aggression.” The New York Democrat said that “Israel has a naturals inherent right to fight back against aggression, the same as the United States or any other law-abiding nation.”
Rep. Farbstein added that “Syria’s disregard of the representations by the Secretary-General of the United Nations makes evident that Israel has a right to protect herself.
