New Extremist Dutch Party Captures Seven Parliamentary Seats

The rightwing Farmers Party, which includes many ex-Nazi sympathizers, won seven out of the 150 seats in the Dutch Parliament in Holland’s parliamentary elections today. A new leftwing party, the Democrats, also won seven seats. Both the traditional leading parties, the Roman Catholic Peoples Party and the Socialists, suffered heavy losses in the election.
