Several hundred volumes of Judaica have been ordered from suppliers in Paris for inclusion in the Jewish collection at the National Library at Ottawa, it was announced today by the Canadian Jewish Congress. The collection is a gift of the Canadian Jewish community in observance of the Centenary of Canada’s Confederation.

In addition to basic classics of Judaica in English, Hebrew and Yiddish, the collection will include microfilms of Canadian Jewish periodicals, which were made available through the New York Public Library. Another part of the collection will be comprised of publications and books produced through grants made by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture.
