Following new guidelines for Catholic-Jewish relations, the Most Rev. Patrick A. O’Boyle, Archbishop of Washington, has put a prominent priest in charge of Catholic relations with Jews in the national capital.

He has named the Rev. John T. Dewan, guidance director at the Cathedral Latin School, to be chairman of the Archdiocesan Ecumenical Commission’s subcommittee for Catholic-Jewish relations. The subcommittee will seek to implement the guidelines for improvement of Catholic-Jewish relations issued earlier this month by the national conference of Catholic bishops.
