President Zalman Shazar of Israel will arrive here tomorrow for a three-day visit before starting his official visit to Canada, which is celebrating its centennial.
After meeting with delegations of Jewish organizations Saturday night, he will be flown to Ottawa on a special plane provided by the Canadian Government where a ceremony in front of the Parliament building Sunday afternoon will mark the formal opening of the President’s visit. He and Mrs. Shazar will be welcomed by the Governor General, Prime Minister Lester Pearson and the entire Canadian Cabinet. The Governor General will tender an official dinner Sunday night which will be attended by top Canadian leaders and distinguished guests from all walks of life.
Mr. Shazar will visit Ottawa City Hall on Monday where he will meet with the Prime Minister for a talk. He will then visit the Jewish Community Center and will be guest of honor at a luncheon given by Mr. Pearson before continuing by special train to Montreal for Israel Day at Expo ’67 on Tuesday.
