The Jewish National Fund of America, in response to an urgent call from Jerusalem, has undertaken to telephone every Jew in America in an urgent appeal for funds desperately needed to strengthen Israel’s border settlements during the present crisis. The call came from Jacob Tsur, JNF world chairman in Jerusalem, in which he said: “During the last few days, we have been compelled to step up our activities aimed at insuring the safety of Israel’s borders. We can continue these activities so essential to Israel’s security only if we receive immediately substantial financial support from our friends in the United States. Act now, time is of the essence,”
The JNF has decided to engage in a nationwide effort aimed at reaching every Jew by telephone to solicit his contribution to the INF Save Israel Fund. Instructions have gone out to all INF Councils through the nation to organize telephone squads in their respective locality.
