The town council of Hertzlia, the only settlement in Israel bearing the name of the founder of political Zionism, agreed today to a Jewish Agency proposal to establish a residential area to be known as the Basle Quarter. The first Zionist Congress was held in Basle 70 years ago and the proposal to establish the Basle Quarter at Hertzlia is part of the program to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the World Zionist Organization.
