The Greater New York Committee for State of Israel Bonds opened its 1967 Fall campaign tonight at a dinner at which sale of $3,250,000 in bonds was announced. The Israel Bond Organization’s Herbert H. Lehman Award was presented to Surrogate Edward S. Silver and, posthumously, to the late Benjamin Abrams, first chairman of the Greater New York committee. Max Abrams, campaign chairman, told the 750 attending the dinner that the citywide objective was to mobilize $25 million this Fall through sale of bonds.

Ambassador Gideon Rafael, permanent representative of Israel to the United Nations, Abraham Feinberg, president of the Israel Bond Organization and William Goldfine, honorary chairman of the Greater New York Committee, addressed the assembly.
